Jonathan G. Blattmachr is director of estate planning for Peak Trust Company, formerly Alaska Trust Company, and a director of Pioneer Wealth Partners LLC, a boutique wealth advisory firm in Manhattan. He is a retired member of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and of the New York and California bars. He is the author and co-author of eight books and over 500 articles, and has been chair of several committees of the New York and American Bar Associations and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is co-developer of Wealth Transfer Planning, a computerized system for lawyers that automatically generates estate planning documents such as wills and trusts, and provides specific client advice using a form of artificial intelligence. Jonathan served two years of active duty in the US Army, rising to the rank of Captain and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. He is an instrument rated land and seaplane pilot and a licensed hunting and fishing guide in the Town of Southampton, New York.
Al W. King III is based in New York City and the Co-Founder, Co-Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of South Dakota Trust Company, LLC (SDTC), South Dakota Planning Company, LLC (SDPC) and the Estate Planning Institute (EPI). South Dakota Trust Company is a national trust boutique for the wealthy based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota serving clients nationally and internationally with more than $45 billion in assets under administration. Mr. King was previously Managing Director and National Director of Estate Planning for Citigroup. Mr. King was also the Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Citicorp Trust South Dakota. Mr. King also previously served as Director of Financial and Estate Planning for Coopers and Lybrand in Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to joining Coopers and Lybrand, Mr. King was a Vice President and Director of Financial and Estate Planning with Shawmut Bank and the Northeast Director of Financial and Estate planning for Prudential-Bache Securities. Mr. King was also a Senior Staff Attorney/Financial Counselor with the AYCO Corporation, a fee-based financial counseling firm. Mr. King is the Co-Vice Chairman of the Editorial Board of Trusts & Estates Magazine. He has been a member of the Editorial Board for 26 years. Mr. King has been inducted into the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) Estate Planning Hall of Fame as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), Distinguished. Mr. King previously served on the Board of Directors for NAEPC and is the Former Chairman of the NAEPC Foundation Advisory Board.
Richard W. Nenno, Esquire, is a Senior Trust Counsel and Managing Director in Wealth Advisory Services at Wilmington Trust Company, Wilmington, Delaware. Dick has over 40 years of estate-planning experience and is admitted to the practice of law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member of the Bloomberg BNA Estates, Gifts, and Trusts Advisory Board, and a Distinguished Accredited Estate Planner. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust Company in 1982, he was an associate in the Estates Department of the Philadelphia law firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews and Ingersoll. Dick is recognized as a national speaker and published authority on estate-planning issues. He has presented at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, the ALI-ABA Planning Techniques for Large Estates Conference, the IBA/ABA International Wealth Transfer Practice Conference, the Notre Dame Tax and Estate Planning Institute, the AICPA Advanced Estate Planning Conference, the NYU Institute on Federal Taxation, the Southern California Tax and Estate Planning Forum, and the Practising Law Institute Estate Planning Institute.
