Oshins vs. Adkisson: Domestic Asset Protection Trust Smackdown

Watch Now!
Recording and Slides are Available Here

Join Steve Oshins and Jay Adkisson, arguably the two most influential attorneys in the asset protection industry, as they go head-to-head in this once-in-a-lifetime Smackdown webinar to determine whether Domestic Asset Protection Trusts are effective asset protection tools.  Steve is the asset protection planner and is perhaps best known as the creator of the Hybrid Domestic Asset Protection Trust which has become the gold standard and most important development of the past few decades in the asset protection industry.  Jay, on the other hand, is the asset protection litigator who is perhaps the last attorney you would want to be up against if a creditor were trying to bust through your asset protection structure.  Does a good offense beat a good defense?  Or does a good defense beat a good offense?  The whole world will be watching as this entertaining Smackdown is expected to break all prior LISI webinar attendance records as these two game warriors do battle on estate planning’s biggest stage!  Whether you’re an attorney, an accountant, a trust officer or a financial planner, it is crucial for you to attend this very important webinar.  In total, you will have 60 minutes of exciting, informative discussion.   Join Steve Oshins and Jay Adkisson on October 5th at 3pm ET when they will teach you:

  • How a Domestic Asset Protection Trust works
  • Why Steve Oshins thinks DAPTs have worked well
  • Why Jay Adkisson thinks DAPTs don’t work well
  • Why Steve Oshins nearly always (99%+) uses a Hybrid DAPT instead of a regular DAPT, including some Hybrid DAPT tricks and strategies
  • How Jay Adkisson would go about busting through a regular DAPT, including some of his specific attacks
  • How Steve Oshins would combine a regular DAPT with a Charging Order Protected Entity (if not using a Hybrid DAPT instead)
  • The differences among the laws of the key DAPT jurisdictions
  • Jay Adkisson’s assessment of a resident of a state that has adopted the new Uniform Voidable Transactions Act
  • And much more!
